About the Role
The Business Applications Analyst is an entry-level role responsible for supporting, configuring, testing, and improving the company’s enterprise SaaS applications. This role works closely with business stakeholders, system owners, vendors, and IT team members to ensure applications are reliable, well-supported, and aligned to business processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the configuration and administration of enterprise SaaS applications, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, project management, collaboration, and workflow tools.
- Assist with setup and maintenance of users, roles, permissions, approval workflows, fields, forms, reports, dashboards, and system settings.
- Partner with business users to understand issues, document requirements, and translate business needs into system updates or configuration requests.
- Help triage, research, and resolve application support tickets in partnership with business users, vendors, and other IT teams.
- Participate in testing activities for system changes, enhancements, integrations, and project releases.
- Document application configurations, support procedures, process flows, test results, and known issues.
- Assist with data validation, reporting requests, and basic system analysis.
- Support system upgrades, releases, and new feature rollouts by helping with testing, communication, documentation, and user readiness.
- Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and validate delivered solutions.
- Follow IT governance processes for change management, access management, security, documentation, and operational support.
- Build knowledge of company business processes and become a trusted support partner for assigned applications over time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong interest in business applications, SaaS platforms, ERP systems, process improvement, and technology-enabled business operations.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and follow structured processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to document steps, requirements, issues, and outcomes clearly.
- Comfortable working with business users, IT team members, and vendors.
- Basic understanding of business processes such as finance, projects, sales, HR, procurement, or operations.
- Willingness to learn application configuration, testing, support, and change management practices.
