About the Role
The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is seeking a compassionate and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to lead our infant classroom. This role provides the opportunity to build strong relationships with children and families while creating a nurturing environment that supports each child's earliest developmental milestones. As the classroom leader, you will create engaging experiences that encourage exploration, sensory development, communication, and secure attachments during a child's most important first year.
Responsibilities
- Lead all daily routines for the infant classroom, including feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental activities
- Create a warm, responsive, and engaging learning environment that supports each child's individual needs
- Implement age-appropriate learning experiences using The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Observe, document, and communicate developmental milestones with families
- Mentor and support assistant teachers to ensure consistency and high-quality care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and relationship building
- Ensure compliance with all New York State and NYC health, safety, and licensing requirements
Requirements
- Previous infant classroom experience required
- Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
Skills
- Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving
