About the Role

Focus on generating new Transaction Banking / Treasury Services business from Japan headquartered clients while growing existing revenue. Work closely with corporate bankers to ensure alignment of strategies and credit capacity. Develop partnerships with Bankers, Client Service, Product Leadership, and Implementation teams. Develop and execute a localized market and product strategy while leading key client pursuits and relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales of the entire Payments product suite/solution, including treasury services which covers core cash clearing, liquidity management and foreign exchange solutions; merchant services and trade & working capital.
  • Achieve new business goals, including the annual sales plan at target margins.
  • Identify prospects and opportunities, develop strategic calling plans, and engage partners and senior managers to influence prospective clients.
  • Build trusted, long-term Payments business relationships by taking a holistic and forward-looking view.
  • Identify ways to help clients achieve their most important business/treasury objectives.
  • Engage clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client-focused framework.
  • Create strategic dialogues around key client-centric issues, incorporating best practices, benchmarking, opportunity quantification, and solution positioning.
  • Partner closely with global stakeholders, including Coverage, Product, Client Services, and Implementation teams, to execute the sales strategy.
  • Understand the unique challenges and requirements in the industry/client segment.
  • Manage the entire sales process, including supervising end-to-end implementation and day-to-day operations of client solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Treasury Services sales with proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win and close new businesses.
  • Strong knowledge in cash and liquidity management products.
  • In-depth understanding of the transaction banking landscape.
  • Considerable knowledge of depository products and treasury management services.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese.
  • Demonstrated client ownership with a proven ability to mobilize available resources to deliver for clients.
  • Effective partnership skills with internal and external stakeholders.
