About the Role

Join our Islington Showroom Sales Team as a Sales Associate. Your primary role is to deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, listening to their needs, and providing tailored product recommendations. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator passionate about helping customers find the right products.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing them the Atlas Experience from the moment they enter.
  • Identify customer needs by listening, asking thoughtful questions, and recommending the best solutions.
  • Provide expert product knowledge by sharing accurate information and guiding customers toward informed choices.
  • Drive sales through customer engagement, utilizing suggestive selling and product expertise.
  • Direct customers with unique or specialized needs to the Industrial Sales Team.
  • Actively participate in continuous learning and stay updated on product knowledge through training and self-directed learning.
  • Ensure customers receive accurate information regarding warranties and assist with related questions.
  • Stay informed on promotions, including flyers, promotions, and seasonal events.
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and fully merchandised department and sales floor.
  • Follow merchandising standards and guidelines for product placement.
  • Assist with inventory management by managing stock levels and organizing merchandise.
  • Proactively manage stock by ordering out-of-stock items from the warehouse.
  • Inform management of any potential or real-time security risks or incidents.
  • Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe environment by following safety protocols and proactively identifying hazards.
  • Foster a positive work culture by contributing to a friendly and respectful work environment.
  • Work together to meet and exceed targets, improve processes, and enhance business performance.
  • Assist in other areas of the showroom as required.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years previous retail sales experience with power tools or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment by demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to last-minute changes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical ability to extract insights from data and reports to inform decisions.
  • Ability to work self-directed and set priorities in line with overall company objectives.
  • A deal team player, focused on team goals and contributing individual performance.
  • Proficiency in using mobile technology and applications.
