About the Role

Hedge Fund Investor Relations at Wellington Management collaborates with investment teams, client relationship teams, risk teams, and business colleagues to support client investment needs. This role focuses on diversifying strategies, including global macro, credit long/short, and multi-strategy, acting as a subject matter expert and portfolio representative. Key objectives include product ownership (marketing, development, servicing), business management (risk, capacity, pricing), and ensuring investment integrity and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses related to portfolio positioning, attribution, and risk.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing.
  • Create and maintain marketing materials.
  • Review and update RFPs.
  • Respond to client and prospect questions.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly performance commentary.
  • Track allocations.
  • Assist with internal updates to Portfolio Managers.
  • Conduct exposure analysis.
  • Perform general flow data and analysis.
  • Organize across various deadlines and shift priorities.
  • Develop business sense to identify areas of maximum team value.
  • Review and evaluate the integrity of hedge fund data, analytics, and materials.
  • Contribute to the success of hedge fund products in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of directly relevant experience.
  • A university degree with strong academic credentials; finance, accounting, or business-related majors preferred.
  • CFA (or pursuing).
  • Strong technical skills and mastery of MS Excel, particularly for managing large datasets with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High work ethic and willingness to hit the ground running.
  • Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in various communication settings.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a global team.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously across various projects/tasks.
