About the Role
The Hedge Fund Investor Relations team supports clients' investment needs by working closely with investment, client relationship, and risk teams. This role focuses on diversifying strategies, including global macro, credit long/short, and multi-strategy, acting as a subject matter expert and portfolio representative.
Responsibilities
- Assess business opportunities, lead business planning, and develop new products and investment solutions.
- Create communication strategies for the book of business.
- Provide internal presentations, performance commentary, and external client materials.
- Support due diligence efforts.
- Manage risk, capacity, pricing, guidelines, existing business, pipeline, data, and product messaging.
- Lead resolutions for internal business challenges and execute business plans.
- Act as an independent advisor to ensure the integrity of investment and risk management processes.
- Conduct regular product risk and performance attribution reviews.
- Contribute to formal investment review group processes.
- Provide analytical leverage to the team and serve as a point of contact for inquiries.
- Perform analyses related to portfolio positioning, attribution, risk, market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing.
- Create and maintain marketing materials.
- Review and update RFPs.
- Respond to client and prospect questions.
- Provide monthly and quarterly performance commentary.
- Track allocations.
- Assist with internal updates to Portfolio Managers.
- Conduct exposure analysis.
- Perform general flow data and analysis.
- Organize across various deadlines and shift priorities.
- Develop business sense to identify areas of maximum value contribution.
- Review and evaluate the integrity of hedge fund data, analytics, and materials.
- Contribute to the success of hedge fund products in the marketplace.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of directly relevant experience.
- University degree with strong academic credentials; finance, accounting, or business-related majors preferred.
- CFA (or pursuing).
- Strong technical skills and mastery of MS Excel, particularly for managing large datasets with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- High work ethic and willingness to hit the ground running.
- Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Ability to write clearly and succinctly in various communication settings.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a global team.
