About the Role

Contribute to the development and implementation of a product strategy as a core member of the Product Team by conducting medical strategy and delivering medical and scientific advice both internally and externally. Ensure the achievement of short and long-term business goals for assigned products while safeguarding customer and Pfizer interests. Facilitate the implementation of global and Japan medical strategies by interfacing with regional and global asset and marketing colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Medical Plan to meet unmet medical needs related to products in the assigned area.
  • Create Medical Plan in collaboration with Therapeutic area Medical Team Lead.
  • Execute parts of the Medical Plan, including medical advisory board meetings, publications, and promotional document reviews.
  • Provide customer feedback on product development and life cycle strategies to relevant company divisions/departments.
  • Support promotional document review in collaboration with the Therapeutic area Medical Team Lead.
  • Support medical/scientific education to MRs in disease areas.
  • Engage in Medical & Scientific communication with domestic and global medical KOLs, providing and exchanging scientific information.
  • Establish strong relationships with domestic top-level medical KOLs through non-promotional activities like scientific exchanges.
  • Acquire extensive medical/pharmaceutical information and gather the latest medical information in the assigned area for Medical Plan creation.
  • Respond to Unsolicited Medical Requests (UMR) by providing accurate, high-quality, and unbiased information to customers, stakeholders, and medical colleagues.

Requirements

  • Strategic thinking, logical thinking, creativity/innovativeness, negotiating ability, communication ability, decision-making ability, cooperativeness, influence, cultivating ability, and organizing ability.
  • Medical/pharmaceutical expert knowledge of the therapeutic disease area/products.
  • Capability for medical discussion with relevant departments and external HCPs.
  • Understanding of compliance and relevant laws/regulations in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advocacy for the appropriate use of products.
  • Ability to create innovative goals and lead cross-functional groups to accomplish them.
  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and understanding of internal organization structure, key stakeholders, and company needs.
  • Experience in Clinical Development and/or Medical Affairs in the oncology area or equivalent experiences is preferable.
  • Ability to understand English literature in the assigned therapeutic disease area.
  • English communication skills sufficient for presentation and discussion on the assigned therapeutic disease area in meetings/teleconferences or emails.
