About the Role
Seeking an enthusiastic lawyer for an alternative legal career path within the Conflicts team. This role offers a varied and challenging opportunity to utilize legal skills in a strategic, commercial setting, providing unique insight into the firm's global clients and sectors.
Responsibilities
- Advising on the resolution of complex legal and commercial conflicts problems.
- Liaising with Partners and staff regarding conflicts issues and queries.
- Ensuring compliance with global sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering obligations.
- Reviewing, drafting, and advising on conflict provisions in firm engagement letters, firm policies, and other client agreements, including panel arrangements.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice as a Solicitor (in any area of law) in Australia or another jurisdiction where HSF Kramer operates.
- 2+ years' post admission experience.
- Excellent research, technical, and analytical skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to adapt to competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- A desire to work outside of traditional private practice in an alternative legal career.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
