About the Role
The Site Services Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain process and facility equipment in wastewater plants. This role ensures maintenance is completed according to safety and predictive/productive maintenance systems to support business goals. This is a mobile position covering New York City Boroughs and Long Island.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, piping, blowers, and compressors.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including motors, VFDs, PLCs, and process instrumentation.
- Identify equipment issues such as vibration, overheating, leaks, and control faults, and implement effective repairs.
- Operate hand and power tools and assist with site preparation and repair projects.
- Accurately document work performed, labor hours, and materials used in the CMMS system.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, clients, and team members regarding work progress and issues.
- Work independently, support team efforts, and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response.
- Travel within the service area as needed, maintaining accurate records for time, mileage, and expenses.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
