About the Role

As a Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis at CIBC, you will provide consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. This role offers technical leadership, interprets complex information, and influences decisions regarding technology to support business objectives. You will develop, recommend, and facilitate the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs, providing expertise to project managers and directors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and consultation for business application developments.
  • Provide technical leadership and interpret complex information.
  • Participate in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding technology.
  • Develop, recommend, and facilitate activities for the application of new technologies.
  • Provide expertise to project managers, coordinators, and directors on technology functionality and utilization.
  • Independently resolve ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts.
  • Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements.
  • Facilitate solution design discussions to ensure project needs are met.
  • Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen, and ask the right questions.
  • Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Prepare and validate solution design documents.
  • Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert.
  • Provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals.
  • Maintain a collaborative work environment.
  • Support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Requirements

  • Extensive BSA experience.
  • 5-8 years in Business Systems Analysis in a BCS role.
  • Led projects and designed solutions across Capital Markets, Settlement, or Fixed Income.
  • Expertise in financial products, particularly Fixed Income.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end trade processes.
  • Expertise with industry platforms and tools.
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol and XML.
  • Experience working with Oracle databases and Bloomberg TOMS.
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx.
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira in Agile environments.
  • Advanced analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Adept at analyzing and understanding data.
  • Proficient in performing gap analysis.
  • Utilize Excel pivot tables, Visio, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Engage with purpose to find the right solutions.
