About the Role

Mercier Consultancy Group is seeking a German Speaking Rent-a-Car Consultant to join a dynamic team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This role is central to the tourism industry, serving as the main contact for German-speaking travelers needing premium vehicle rental solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated consultant for German-speaking customers, assisting with vehicle rental bookings, modifications, and cancellations.
• Provide personalized vehicle recommendations tailored to each traveler's itinerary, budget, and tourism needs.
• Handle inbound inquiries via telephone, email, and live chat from German-speaking clients, delivering prompt, professional, and solutions-oriented responses.
• Process and manage rental agreements, payments, and customer documentation in accordance with company policy and tourism industry compliance standards.
• Proactively upsell relevant add-ons such as insurance packages, GPS navigation, child seats, and additional driver options.
• Collaborate closely with tourism partners, travel agencies, and hospitality providers to ensure seamless coordination of vehicle services.
• Log and track all customer interactions accurately within the company's CRM system.
• Escalate complex or unresolved customer issues to the appropriate teams, ensuring satisfactory and timely resolution.

Requirements

• Native or fluent German language skills (spoken and written) are essential.
• Valid EU passport is mandatory.
• A strong background or genuine interest in the tourism, travel, or hospitality industry is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in customer service, rent-a-car operations, travel consultancy, or a related tourism field is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with international travellers and tourism clients.
• Comfortable working in a target-driven, on-site environment and capable of managing multiple customer interactions efficiently.
• Proficiency in English is a plus.
• Familiarity with CRM tools or reservation systems within the tourism sector is beneficial.
