About the Role

Ashurst Perkins Coie LLP, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Privacy Associate to handle privacy and product counseling issues. We have created a firm culture that is based on collaboration, dedication to serving our clients, and mutual respect.

Responsibilities

  • Advise companies on US federal and state privacy laws.
  • Develop internal data protection programs.
  • Conduct privacy assessments and build out data maps.
  • Perform data protection impact assessments.
  • Draft privacy policies.
  • Negotiate data processing agreements.
  • Advise on cutting-edge or high-risk privacy issues, such as AI, adtech, health data, biometric data, and/or kids and teen data.

Requirements

  • Preferably 4-8 years of experience.
  • Experience advising companies on US federal and state privacy laws is required.
  • Strong academic credentials are required.
  • Prior peer law firm experience is a plus.
  • Attach cover letter, resume, and law school transcript.
