About the Role

RECONN is seeking problem-solving individuals to join our team as Damage Prevention Advisors. This role is crucial for ensuring public safety and compliance on construction sites where excavations are performed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and utility industries, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Dig Safely NY is called for utility mark-out and responded to accordingly.
• Verify that the scope of work with machinery is in accordance with CR753 during excavation.
• Work with contractors on CR 753 daily.
• Advise on corrective actions when necessary.
• Reinforce positive actions when a proper dig occurs.
• Inspect equipment daily.
• Perform daily work planning.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable in the construction and utility industries.
• Good safety background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Basic computer functions.
• Data entry skills.
• Smartphone use.
• Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
• Outstanding safety/quality record.
• High level of organizational skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to focus on details.
• Knowledge of all types of gas prints.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
