About the Role

Flatiron Dragados is seeking a strategic and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support Canadian operations. This role involves partnering with leaders and HR teams to drive workforce planning, talent mobility, and deliver people strategies aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to corporate/project leaders on employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal legal counsel to manage and resolve complex employee issues, ensuring policy application and compliance with Canadian employment legislation.
  • Support and coach leaders on performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, development planning, and performance improvement.
  • Partner with the Total Rewards COE on compensation planning, salary reviews, and job evaluations.
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition COE to support workforce planning and talent pipeline needs.
  • Monitor and analyze key HR metrics, providing actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Schedule and facilitate HR trainings on Company systems, performance and compensation reviews, compliance, and Company programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 7+ years’ Human Resource Generalist experience.
  • Prior OD/OE and change management experience preferred.
  • Construction industry or related industry experience preferred.
  • Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Global Professional of Human Resources (GPHR), Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certifications preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external business contacts.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the business.
  • Strong time-management skills; ability to maintain professional composure under tight deadlines or sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated track record of partnering with leaders to provide human capital solutions.
  • Developed employment law and HR compliance knowledge.
  • Developing critical-thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality over employment records, inquiries, medical information, investigations and other employment-related items.

Experience Level

  • 7+ years’ Human Resource Generalist experience

Education Level

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field

Salary/Compensations

  • CAD $110,000.00/Yr. - CAD $130,000.00/Yr.
