About the Role
This role supports the redesign in the delivery of care to meet patient needs effectively, fostering local collaboration and communication. It focuses on patients and specific local needs, supporting best practices for value-added results. Mohawk Medbuy nurses provide clinical expertise and engage in peer-to-peer exchanges, ensuring clinician voices are heard by involving members in the vetting and sourcing process across the continuum of care.
Responsibilities
- Utilize clinical expertise and critical thinking to identify solutions and provide recommendations in supply chain disruption management.
- Improve efficiency, communication, and timeliness of supplies by working with members, suppliers, vendors, distributors, and internal departments.
- Find alternative sources of clinically acceptable supplies during disruptions.
- Proactively decrease supply disruptions and prevent impact to patient care.
- Work closely with MMC’s MitigAID Program, including maintenance and development of the weekly MitigAID report.
- Support MMC’s warehouse customers.
- Engage with vendors, members, and external/government partners pertaining to high-impact supply disruptions.
- Provide professional clinical expertise and leadership throughout the Request for Proposal (RFP) Sourcing process.
- Integrate clinical research and best practices into the RFP process.
- Create scoring specifications and requirements for RFPs.
- Engage members through Clinical Expert Groups (CEGs) and vendor education sessions.
- Support quality assurance work for external/government partners.
- Provide professional clinical expertise and leadership in managing new and existing member relationships.
- Actively engage in member and MMC initiatives to ensure the clinician's voice is present.
- Support training and mentorship of new team members.
- Provide coverage for the Director.
- Perform additional professional tasks at the request of the Director.
- Support the Innovation and Indigenous LaunchPad on product and Vendor evaluation.
- Support the Director in ad hoc Member meetings and Clinical Councils.
Requirements
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt.
- Demonstrated ability to compile relevant research, conduct a review and analysis of said research and provide an executive summary of findings.
- Strong communication skills (presentation and written).
- Solid commitment to customer service and member support.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to be self-directed and results-oriented with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge in MS Office and electronic communication.
- Business minded, value proposition approaches.
- Experience and ability to work with a team as well as independently.
- Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment.
