About the Role

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will develop and maintain UMG’s Rights front-end applications, back-end processing, and services. This role involves collaborating within an agile product team to deliver secure, performant, and reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Technical Team Lead and Senior Developers.
  • Attend and contribute to sprint ceremonies.
  • Understand UMG’s complex business domain and existing code-based solutions.
  • Ensure acceptance criteria of user stories are met and limit QA failures.
  • Produce high-quality code using Test Driven Development.
  • Embrace exposure to new architectures, cloud-based infrastructures, microservices, and modern ways of working.
  • Diagnose issues via debugging, logging, and telemetry.
  • Self-learn and understand code written by others.
  • Work with a remote team with minimal cross-over.
  • Identify and resolve production issues with business users.

Requirements

  • Excellent professional experience of C# and the modern .Net ecosystem.
  • Professional experience with React and test frameworks such as Jest.
  • Experience using containerised systems, with some experience with ECS or Kubernetes.
  • Experience in writing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Tekton, or similar.
  • Professional experience using JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with message-based architecture (SNS/SQS or similar).
  • An understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, Postgres and JSON data type preferred.
  • Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development.
  • A good understanding of design patterns and principles e.g. SOLID and GO4 (desirable).
  • Experience working in an Agile based project delivery environment.
  • Ability to refactor code.
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast-moving domain.
  • Demonstrable web development experience.
  • Experience in an agile environment (Scrum and/or Kanban).
