About the Role
Join a high-performing platform distribution team and play a critical role in helping financial advisers unlock the full value of a market-leading wrap platform. As a North Training Consultant, you will partner closely with advisers and their support teams to drive platform adoption, improve capability, and deliver meaningful business outcomes. You’ll be at the centre of adviser growth and retention—supporting onboarding, leading transitions, and enabling best-practice platform use across a competitive market. This is a highly visible, relationship-driven role where your ability to educate, influence and solve problems will directly impact adviser success.
Responsibilities
- Drive adviser growth and engagement by partnering with Business Development Managers and New Business Managers to strengthen adviser relationships and drive deeper engagement.
- Identify growth opportunities across a panel by understanding adviser business models, priorities and challenges.
- Support practices to adopt the platform more effectively and maximise its value.
- Lead onboarding and transition experiences by managing end-to-end adviser transitions onto the platform, ensuring seamless outcomes for practices and their clients.
- Accelerate onboarding by delivering structured, practical training and support.
- Help practices navigate change confidently when switching platforms.
- Deliver high-impact training and education by designing and delivering engaging training for advisers and back-office teams (face-to-face and virtual).
- Build capability in platform functionality, workflows and best-practice usage.
- Create and maintain high-quality learning materials, including onboarding content, webinars and guides.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing practical guidance to improve efficiency and day-to-day platform use.
- Support the rollout of new capabilities and help advisers adopt enhancements effectively.
- Diagnose training and business needs across platform, product and enterprise systems.
- Strengthen relationships and retention by building deep, trusted relationships with advisers and key back-office stakeholders to drive retention and advocacy.
- Act as an escalation point for complex queries or issues, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality client experiences aligned with broader distribution teams.
Requirements
- RG146 compliant with a solid understanding of regulations as they apply to financial advice.
- 3+ years’ experience in financial service industry (or related industry).
- Previous client facing role in Financial Services highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of the Financial Planning market including compliance.
- Proven track record in effectively resolving difficult or complex customer issues.
- Experience presenting to individuals and small groups.
- Confident working with advisers and practice staff in a competitive environment.
- Ability to take ownership and manage multiple priorities, including transitions and onboarding activity.
- Ability to build credibility quickly and become a trusted partner.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities to improve outcomes for clients.
- Ability to adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease.
- Commitment, grit and a growth mindset.
- Willingness to jump in and deliver across a variety of areas due to lean operations.
