About the Role

The Manager, Alumnae Communications is a key figure supporting the Office of Advancement with digital marketing and communications responsibilities essential to Barnard's mission. This role serves as a bridge between the College and the alumnae community, using digital and print tools to foster engagement and support fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end email production, including writing content and building segmented audiences.
  • Perform routine website updates and maintain an online presence using web platforms.
  • Create visual imagery and multimedia assets for marketing campaigns, emails, social media, and events.
  • Collaborate on deliverables for Barnard Magazine, including compiling Class Notes and managing targeted communications.
  • Ideate, create, and manage content and inbox for the Barnard Alumnae social media channel.
  • Provide tracking, analysis, and reporting on the performance of digital platforms.
  • Offer data-driven recommendations for improving communications through best practices and A/B testing.
  • Serve as the primary manager of the Alumnae website and liaison with the webhost.
  • Partner with other departments and administrators to align message strategies for the alumnae audience.
  • Manage ongoing campaigns, content creation timelines, and digital assets.
  • Attend and provide operational and staffing support for College events as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing/communications, or related field.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
