About the Role

You will embed within our most important customers to rebuild their finance functions. This involves mapping existing workflows, redesigning processes, wiring integrations, and deploying AI agents to ensure customers leverage Light to its full potential. You will work with senior, technical, and time-constrained clients like Financial Controllers, Finance Directors, and CFOs at fast-growing multinational SaaS and tech companies. This is a founding role requiring a blend of process design, building, and deployment, partnering with an Account Manager who handles stakeholders and commercial aspects.

Responsibilities

Embed with a customer's finance team, map and redesign their workflows AI-first
Wire integrations to pull data from ERPs, banks, and billing into Light
Configure, ship, and supervise AI agents in production until the customer trusts them
Hand back a workflow the customer runs themselves, and train their team from go-live
Diagnose edge cases not covered by the playbook and ship solutions
Measure and prove impact against a week-0 baseline
Partner with your Account Manager and pull in platform and AI engineering support when needed
Feed repeatable patterns to the Product roadmap

Requirements

3+ years of experience working closely with finance teams (accounting, process design, consulting, or technical customer success)
Proven ability to build and tinker, using tools like coding, data pipelines, and LLM agents to ship working software
Sufficient fluency in finance to discuss multi-entity, consolidation, and reporting with a Controller, and to identify unworkable requests
Ability to bring structure to complex problems and move quickly: diagnose, prototype, harden, and ship
Comfortable interacting with both CFOs and engineers, and experience delivering results without direct authority
Daily use of AI tools with informed opinions on their application in delivery
Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus
Bonus: Solutions or integration engineering background; experience mapping and redesigning finance processes and with AI agents in production (evals, guardrails)
Bonus: A finance / accounting qualification
Must be comfortable finding the problem and building the solution, rather than waiting for a spec
Experience working directly with customers, not just internal products
Willingness to rethink processes from first principles and inject AI where appropriate
Comfortable with partial support and not relying on a large platform team
Enthusiasm for AI and a willingness to fully embrace it in your work
