About the Role

Aetonix is seeking a senior product design collaborator to expand design capacity across our patient mobile app and care-team desktop app. You will lead by influence, setting the craft standard, building research infrastructure, and shaping product decisions as a key member of the product trio.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, well-reasoned design from problem framing through shipped product.
  • Provide structured critique to build design taste and judgment in others.
  • Co-steward and evolve the shared design system across web and mobile surfaces.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research with care teams and Medicare patients.
  • Establish repeatable research practices for the broader product team.
  • Translate complex clinical workflows into clear, intuitive software interactions.
  • Participate in product decisions as a full voice grounded in user insight.
  • Frame recommendations in the language of outcomes and impact.
  • Present design work to executives, cross-functional colleagues, and innovation partners.
  • Facilitate sessions using story maps, Opportunity Solution Trees, and assumption maps.
  • Bring patient voices into trade-off discussions to shape final decisions.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in product design with a portfolio showing end-to-end ownership.
  • Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML-powered features in production.
  • Background in healthcare, clinical, or regulated software.
  • Experience scaling a design system across web and mobile.
  • Strong research skills including usability study execution and synthesis.
  • Solid accessibility practice including keyboard and screen-reader flows.
  • Active use of AI design and research tooling to accelerate prototyping and synthesis.
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools like Amplitude.
  • Experience mentoring and elevating other designers.
  • Ability to craft compelling design stories for diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel for in-person team meetings 2-4 times per year.
