About the Role

This position is responsible for serving guests in various settings, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while fostering a safe and welcoming work environment. The role contributes to the company's learning environment and supports guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests by name whenever possible.
  • Escorts guests to a table, presents menus, and informs guests of daily specials.
  • Explains menu item or beverage preparation.
  • Takes guest orders and makes recommendations.
  • Serves guests and checks for satisfaction.
  • Prepares food and beverages if applicable.
  • Resolves guest issues or asks management for assistance.
  • Presents bills upon request and takes payment in the absence of a cashier.
  • Cleans tables or counters, removes dishes, and re-stocks where applicable.
  • Delivers food to hotel rooms as directed, obtains signatures, and removes used trays.
  • Performs opening or closing duties as required.
  • Counts cash float at the end of the shift when applicable.
  • Covers other servers' sections when required.
  • Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, and team members.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year serving experience.
  • Effective and service-oriented communication.
  • POS experience.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely service.
