Responsibilities
- Translate initial product concepts into concrete product briefs, feasibility assessments, formulations, cost calculations and development plans.
- Develop and optimize liquid products such as functional beverages, juices, shots, liquid food supplements, elixirs, ferments and tinctures, working hands-on with our Category Manager on prototypes and sensory evaluation.
- Ensure that every product combines scientific credibility, commercial viability and an outstanding taste experience.
- Manage the full operational product development process from concept and formulation through sampling, testing, production preparation and market readiness, using structured stage-gate processes.
- Act as the central point of contact for your products and coordinate external manufacturers, bottlers, suppliers and internal teams including Sourcing, Purchasing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Legal, Production Planning and Logistics.
- Conduct market, competitor and trend analyses, attend relevant trade fairs and contribute new ideas for innovative products within the Fluids category.
Requirements
- Relevant professional experience in product development or product management within the food, beverage, food supplement, flavour or FMCG industry.
- Practical experience developing or optimising beverages, juices, shots, liquid supplements, fermented products or comparable liquid formulations, including sensory evaluation and taste adjustments.
- Scientific or technical background, for example in nutritional science, food science, food technology, pharmacy, chemistry or biology, or comparable expertise through relevant training and experience.
- Ability to confidently discuss ingredients, active substances, dosages and physiological mechanisms and critically assess the scientific relevance of product concepts.
- Creativity and strong product intuition combined with analytical thinking, attention to detail and a solid understanding of calculations and product costs.
- Familiarity with stage-gate or comparable product development processes.
- Ability to confidently manage cross-functional stakeholders and proactively drive projects forward in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Business fluent (C1) in both German and English.
