About the Role

As an IT Project Manager in the SAP environment, you will manage and drive projects, maintain an overview of multiple projects and open items, and focus on the people involved. This role is crucial for ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Project steering: Plan, manage, and monitor SAP projects in intralogistics, including module introductions, product projects, and expansions of existing SAP landscapes (e.g., SAP EWM).
• Client interface: Act as the central point of contact for client-side project managers, managing all project aspects.
• Budget responsibility: Monitor budget and resources throughout the project lifecycle, proactively identifying and addressing deviations.
• Team coordination: Flexibly coordinate project teams based on project size (from 100 to 2,500 project days).
• Workshops & coordination: Moderate client workshops and internal/external coordination meetings.
• Methodology development: Actively develop project management methodologies and integrate best practices into common structures.
• Tool-supported project controlling: Utilize PM tools like Jira and Confluence, along with AI-based applications, to ensure transparency in progress, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in SAP projects or a comparable ERP/logistics environment.
• Completed university degree (e.g., Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to structure and process requirements into clear project plans, work packages, and responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex issues to clients and project teams.
• Experience in budget planning and responsibility, with strong negotiation skills.
• Commitment to completing tasks, attention to detail, and timely resolution of open issues.
• Native-level German language skills and fluent English (B2/C1) for negotiations.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is preferred.
