About the Role

Join the Corporates Credit team within Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) to manage and deliver credit relationships for corporate clients. This independent function collaborates with business lines, relationship managers, and Risk to provide debt financing and derivative strategies while adhering to the company's growth strategy and risk standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial and credit analysis and risk rating analysis in adherence to credit policies.
• Independently assess creditworthiness and perform qualitative and quantitative due diligence on prospective borrowers.
• Structure transactions and negotiate credit documentation including agreements and amendments.
• Ensure portfolio granularity regarding capital commitments, exposure, and asset quality.
• Establish and maintain internal risk ratings throughout the client credit life cycle.
• Ensure credit management processes meet internal audit and regulatory standards.
• Develop a deep understanding of the product spectrum and portfolio to craft risk-balanced solutions.
• Manage internal relationships with Corporate and Investment Bankers, Sales & Trading, Risk Management, Syndications, and Legal.
• Participate in strategic projects to support business goals.

Requirements

• BA/BSc degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Relevant experience in financial services, specifically in credit risk management.
• Ability to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate credit risk.
• Strong credit skills and risk judgment with the ability to defend a fact-based point of view.
• Knowledge of industry, transaction, country, reputational, and operational risk factors.
• Ability to quickly absorb and follow internal credit policies and procedures.
• Commercial mindset with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including financial modeling.
