About the Role

Perkins&Will is seeking a highly talented Senior Interior Designer with exceptional and proven experience in corporate interiors and workplace sectors. The successful candidate will have strong experience in a professional practice and should have worked within a similar scale organization. You will need to demonstrate exceptional design and conceptual skills, strong presentation skills, have a track record in dealing with clients and be able to support design excellence through all stages of a project from inception through to completion.

Responsibilities

Manage the development of tender proposals.
Manage the preparation of tender presentation material.
Lead or assist with the presentation of proposals to clients.
Develop design proposals with the Project Lead and team members for presentation to the client, including concept ideas, development of layouts, finishes, materials, and furniture.
Collect client brief and prepare project briefing documents.
Prepare design and production information within pre-agreed programme and cost parameters.
Specify products and materials, investigating suitability for use, sustainability, and maintenance procedures.
Attend client presentation meetings and other project meetings as appropriate.
Review construction work on site as required.
Assist to ensure smooth handover of project to client.
Report project issues to Project Lead on a regular basis.
Act as a design mentor to more junior members of staff within the team.

Requirements

Must have experience in a similar role, with ideally 10+ years in the industry.
Working knowledge of Building regulations, British Standards, and other relevant statutory legislation.
Demonstrate an understanding of Perkins&Will's work.
Experience of fast track projects from inception to completion.
Client management skills and exceptional presentation skills.
Understanding of financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget is desirable.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
