About the Role

Manage the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage team, liaising with other departments to ensure service excellence. Be knowledgeable of all hotel emergency and security procedures and capable of managing any situation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure function rooms are set up at least one hour before each event according to the banquet order.
• Be present for client arrivals, welcome guests, and ascertain their needs.
• Oversee and observe waiting staff to maintain service standards.
• Provide menu briefings and function details to casual staff before food service.
• Liaise with the Operations Manager and Chef regarding food-related issues, including changes in numbers and times.
• Ensure attention to detail for functions and report any changes to the relevant Event Planner.
• Maintain continuous contact with the event organizer during the event and react quickly to changes.
• Ensure all service areas are kept clean and tidy, and fire exits and corridors are clear.
• Assist in preparing a monthly maintenance checklist for all function rooms for the Maintenance Department.
