About the Role

As an external data protection consultant, you will support clients, particularly in the housing and real estate industry, in the practical implementation of GDPR and BDSG requirements. You will act as an external data protection officer, implement data protection legal requirements, conduct data protection audits, risk analyses, and data protection impact assessments, and advise clients on data protection matters.

Responsibilities

Fulfill the duties of an external data protection officer according to Art. 39 GDPR.
Implement data protection legal requirements practically, including creating records of processing activities, reviewing data processing agreements, and creating/revising privacy notices.
Conduct data protection audits, risk analyses, and data protection impact assessments.
Answer technical questions on data protection law and support clients in daily business.
Review policies and regulations related to personal data.
Communicate with data protection supervisory authorities and accompany data protection legal proceedings.
Design and conduct data protection awareness measures and employee training.
Continuously develop the data protection consulting portfolio with the team.

Requirements

Possess sound and demonstrable knowledge in data protection or are already working as a data protection consultant.
Have a high affinity for information technology and be willing to acquire knowledge in information security.
Convince through conceptual thinking, strong communication skills, and team spirit.
Be willing to support clients on-site.
Have very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
