About the Role
You will prepare the monthly payroll for FlixTrain GmbH in close cooperation with our external payroll provider. You will ensure that all payroll-relevant data is transmitted completely, correctly, and on time. You will be responsible for our entire payroll process, from ensuring high data quality in the payroll tool to clarifying account differences with accounting. As a point of contact, you will assist employees, HR colleagues, and external partners with all questions regarding payroll. As a Process Expert, you will continuously develop our payroll process and actively drive automation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly payroll for FlixTrain GmbH in cooperation with the external payroll provider.
- Ensure complete, correct, and timely transmission of all payroll-relevant data (e.g., entries, exits, contract changes, benefits, absences).
- Take responsibility for the entire payroll process, including data quality and clarifying account differences.
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees, HR, and external partners.
- Continuously develop the payroll process and drive automation as a Process Expert.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in preparatory payroll accounting, ideally in the blue-collar environment.
- Expertise in wage tax and social security law.
- Experience in processing surcharges (e.g., night, Sunday, holiday surcharges) and benefits (e.g., fringe benefits, job ticket, company pension plan).
- Proficiency with HR and payroll systems (e.g., DATEV, SAGE, or SAP).
- Technical affinity for quickly learning new tools and digital processes.
- Enjoyment in optimizing and automating payroll processes, contributing own ideas.
- Structured, reliable, and discreet work style with a high degree of personal responsibility.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
