About the Role
As a Sales Manager, you will represent all Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DS&C) shipyards, focusing on building, maintaining, and developing sustainable relationships with existing and potential clients within the Dutch market. You will also maintain close contact with external stakeholders and collaborate internally with other Sales Managers and various departments.
Responsibilities
- Actively develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients in the Dutch market.
- Achieve commercial objectives and establish sales budgets for your market segment.
- Take an active role in contract negotiations and commercial coordination.
- Ensure smooth project handover to the executing shipyard, including coordinating the entire quotation process.
- Provide and share relevant market information and developments with management and the marketing department.
- Represent Damen at trade shows, events, and customer visits.
- Keep the CRM system updated and report on commercial activities and progress.
- Collaborate closely with other Sales Managers within the DS&C sales team.
Requirements
- HBO work and thinking level.
- At least five years of commercial and/or project management experience in the maritime sector is preferred.
- Ability to translate customer needs into the right shipyard and suitable solutions.
- Professional and results-oriented attitude.
- Strong commercial and networking skills.
- Proactive and willing to take responsibility and initiative.
- Understanding of technical specifications and work on board ships.
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages.
- No 9-to-5 mentality and full-time availability.
