About the Role
The Substation Design Manager will lead the coordination and delivery of high voltage substation and transmission line design activities for the VNI West Major Project. This role ensures designs meet Transgrid standards, regulatory requirements, and project delivery objectives, supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure outcomes. The manager will collaborate with engineering teams, project delivery partners, and external design providers to deliver high-quality design solutions within project timelines.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering, project and delivery teams to achieve project outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence technical and project decisions.
- A proactive and solutions focused approach with the ability to identify risks and support practical design solutions.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement and innovation within design processes and project delivery.
- Strong technical capability in substation or transmission design within major infrastructure or energy projects.
