About the Role
In this role, you’ll help shape smarter, risk-informed decisions across some of IAG’s most strategically important partner, platform and distribution arrangements. You’ll provide independent Line 2 risk oversight, advice and challenge across governance, risk and compliance matters, supporting the business to manage risk effectively, strengthen control environments and deliver strategic outcomes within risk appetite.
Responsibilities
- Integration and oversight of key strategic partners
- Risk and compliance activities to support Day 1 readiness
- Transition planning and ongoing integration into IAG’s risk management frameworks, governance routines and ways of working
- Work across integration programs, partner oversight activities and BAU risk advisory to help identify, assess and manage delivery and delivered risks
- Risk advisory
- Partner with senior business stakeholders, Line 1 Risk, Risk Champions and Group Risk SMEs to support risk-informed decision-making across partner oversight, distribution activities, integration initiatives and ongoing risk maturity uplift
- Support risk profiling, deliver risk assessments, controls validation, thematic reviews, supplier and distributor oversight, CRO reporting, regulatory review activity and the practical implementation of Group Risk frameworks, standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Risk Advisory, assurance, compliance or operational risk, preferably within insurance or financial services
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management and the Australian regulatory environment.
- Solid business acumen, practical judgement and the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Experience supporting project delivery, transformation, integration, mergers and acquisitions, or complex business change will be highly beneficial
- Being comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing ambiguity, coordinating across multiple stakeholders and translating complex risk, regulatory and integration matters into clear, actionable insights
