About the Role

This position is responsible for providing procurement and contract advisory support for goods, services, and project works across the Sydney Opera House. The role involves advising stakeholders on procurement and contract matters, preparing tender and contract documentation, administering processes, and supporting procurement governance and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Providing procurement and contract advisory support in relation to procurement planning, contract development, tender preparation and evaluation, and contract administration for goods, services and project works across the Sydney Opera House.
  • Advising project managers and other stakeholders on procurement and contract matters.
  • Preparing tender and contract documentation consistent with project and organisational requirements.
  • Administering tender and contract processes.
  • Supporting procurement governance and compliance in accordance with Sydney Opera House and NSW Government requirements.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Commerce, Business, Law, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Approximately 5 years' experience in procurement, contract management, or contract administration, ideally within the NSW Government or public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW Government procurement policies, governance requirements, standard form contracts, and experience managing tender evaluation processes, including facilitating Tender Evaluation Committees.
  • Proven ability to provide procurement and contract advice to diverse stakeholders and support business units throughout procurement activities.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a high attention to detail, including preparing procurement documentation, contracts, reports, briefing papers, submissions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) skills.
  • Experience with records/document management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and consultation skills.
  • Ability to negotiate.
  • Existing Australian work rights.
  • Satisfactory National Police Check.
  • Satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment.

Salary/Compensations

  • Base salary of $126,337 per annum plus 12% Superannuation Contributions
