About the Role
Active Dynamics is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join their Toronto team. This role focuses on developing customer strategies for sustained growth, maximizing repeat business, and securing new opportunities. The Senior Account Manager will partner with internal teams to ensure successful business launches and represent the voice of the customer, ensuring a positive customer experience and acting as a brand ambassador.
Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and lead commercial opportunities with existing and new potential customers.
- Develop retention strategies for existing customers and maximize share of wallet.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the customer organization.
- Identify and drive matched-pair relationships, developing coaches/advocates within the customer organization.
- Remain current on technical/product capabilities and Active’s value proposition.
- Work closely with and direct company Program Management resources to ensure customer deliverables are met.
- Analyze markets and competitors to determine risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the establishment of strategic goals for products and services.
- Maintain quote models (CRM) to gain new business and focus on improved profitability.
- Assist in the development of Profit Plan and Strategic Plan.
- Monitor and continuously improve general Business Development activities.
- Create an atmosphere and provide a positive vision that allows each person to utilize their full potential.
- Help build organizational capability by continuously improving departmental policies, procedures, personnel, and systems.
- Be the principal point of contact and owner of assigned customers and prospects.
- Travel to customer sites, trade events, and company locations in the United States and internationally as business needs require.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge in B2B sales to OEMs.
- Working knowledge of product design, manufacturing, and quality.
- Administrative knowledge regarding business case development, budgeting, data collection and capital equipment analysis, cost accounting, project cost analysis, and organizational techniques.
- Administrative skills must include planning, coordinating, team building, communication, organization, and time management.
- Ability to direct the training, motivation, and development of personnel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate.
- Product quoting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication, exhaust systems or fabricated tube business.
- Creative thinker helping customers to envision the potential of our solutions.
- Proven track record with sales engagements and new customer acquisition.
- Ability to interact with various levels of management and staff internally and within customer organizations.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Results driven, competitive, persuasive and consistent with entrepreneurial focus.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required to meet business needs, including travel to the United States and internationally.
- Passion for promoting integrity, big picture vision, and strategic development.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
