About the Role

Kick start your career in one of Australia's fastest-growing industries with a 12-month paid telecommunications traineeship program. This program offers hands-on skills, a nationally recognised qualification, and the opportunity for a long-term career with Telstra in a diverse and inclusive workplace. As a Trainee Field Technician, you will provide on-the-ground support to homes and businesses, keeping communities connected.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside a mentor offering ongoing coaching, support, and mentoring.
  • Receive hands-on training to activate and assure telecommunications/technology products and services in homes and/or businesses.
  • Actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra's values and strategy.

Requirements

  • Hold a current driver's licence.
  • Physically fit for the role.
  • Ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Ability to undertake a police check.
  • Professional and polite communication.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude and safety-first approach.
  • Technically minded.
  • Reside in the targeted area or be willing to relocate.
