About the Role
The Equipment Service Technician is a remote-based, customer-facing role primarily operating within hospitals. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing complex mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic medical equipment used in surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform fundamental troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Manage time autonomously to prioritize customer needs, service calls, warranty calls, and installations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Tech Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management.
- Utilize technology platforms to document troubleshooting and meet regulatory compliance requirements.
- Provide customers with information, pricing, and repair options.
- Identify sales opportunities within the assigned territory and build relationships with the Sales team.
- Provide support to various locations within the assigned territory based on service agreements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of work experience, including 2 years in a mechanical/technical role.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to meet background and physical assessment requirements for vendor credentialing.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including potential overnights and early/late hours.
- Must pass a 7-year driving record check.
