About the Role
Safely and professionally operate the Land Train, a low-speed electric visitor transport service on a fixed route within Battersea Power Station. Enhance accessibility and guest experience by providing convenient transport, especially for families, elderly guests, and those with mobility needs. Deliver a friendly, reliable, and safety-focused service while adhering to procedures and maintaining a welcoming presence.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Land Train safely on the designated route and approved stops.
- Complete all pre-operation and post-operation checks.
- Adhere strictly to speed limits (maximum 4mph; 1mph at speed bumps) and pedestrian-zone safety requirements.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, offering additional support to those who need it.
- Maintain clear communication with Security, Site Control, and Duty Managers during operation.
- Monitor passenger behaviour and manage unsafe conduct calmly and professionally.
- Suspend operations when required due to safety, weather, or footfall conditions.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards at all times.
- Welcome customers and actively provide information, directions, and other assistance to guests.
- Help keep the site safe and secure by complying with access control processes, signing in guests, being vigilant to potential threats, and working with the site security team.
- Assist the Guest Service Team in their duties.
- Deliver a warm, confident welcome, engaging in meaningful and personalised conversations.
- Offer proactive wayfinding and thoughtful recommendations.
- Take full ownership of issue resolution to create a seamless and memorable guest experience.
Requirements
- Friendly and approachable communicator who loves talking to and helping customers.
- Willingness and skill set to learn about the location and the Power Station’s heritage.
- Passion for customer service and connecting with customers, tourists, and the local community.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude with the willingness to accommodate all visitor’s needs.
- Results-oriented with a desire to achieve high-quality guest service standards consistently.
- High level of personal presentation.
