About the Role

We are seeking a Social Media & Influencer Manager to enhance our organic brand presence and build a premier influencer program. This role involves managing our social media channels, developing content strategies, and fostering influencer partnerships to drive growth and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day management of Collective's organic social channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X), including content scheduling, posting, and platform-specific optimizations.
  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking organic content strategy to establish thought leadership and drive audience growth.
  • Own the social content calendar, planning content in advance while remaining agile to capitalize on trends.
  • Build and nurture online communities to strengthen brand loyalty and convert audience members into customers.
  • Maintain a consistent visual style and high content quality across all channels.
  • Monitor and engage with comments across all social channels, ensuring a positive community experience.
  • Source and prospect new influencer talent aligned with Collective's brand and target audience.
  • Lead outreach, rate negotiation, and contracting for influencer partnerships.
  • Onboard new influencers and serve as their primary point of contact.
  • Provide clear creative direction and ongoing feedback to influencers.
  • Deliver sourced creator content and talent recommendations to the paid media team.
  • Collaborate with team members, executives, and subject matter experts to create engaging social-first content.
  • Be comfortable in front of the camera and assist in bringing out authentic performances from talent.
  • Collaborate with members, influencers, and experts to improve content quality and relevance.
  • Own and report on core KPIs including audience growth, engagement, and influencer program contribution.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis and channel audits to identify opportunities.
  • Use data insights to continuously optimize content performance.
  • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, content trends, and influencer marketing best practices.

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of experience in social media management, influencer marketing, or a related content role.
  • Hands-on experience managing organic social channels with a track record of growing audiences and driving engagement.
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating with, and managing influencer or creator relationships.
  • Comfortable in front of the camera and able to provide effective creative direction.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple creator relationships and content workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder.
  • Scrappy and resourceful; able to move quickly without needing a large team or budget.
  • Data-driven and analytically fluent—comfortable pulling performance data, building reports, and translating insights into content decisions.
  • Genuine curiosity about and empathy for the self-employed and independent worker community.
