About the Role

Lunar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to tackle complex technical challenges in healthcare. The role involves rebuilding the software infrastructure of modern hospitals using cutting-edge, AI-powered technology. You will work with a mission-driven team to develop solutions for modern cloud architecture, access control systems, high-availability infrastructure, hardware integration, and workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

Design and develop modern cloud-native platforms with Elixir at the core.
Create a modern access control system with fine-grained permissions for clinical data.
Design and ship infrastructure for 24/7 hospital operations, including rolling deployments and failover.
Architect a next-generation integration engine to connect various medical equipment.
Rethink and improve data flow and workflows for nurses, doctors, and administrators.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
Proficiency with object-oriented and functional programming.
Ability and willingness to use and adopt new technologies.
Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative team environment.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of tackling challenging engineering problems.
Intellectually curious with a growth mindset.
Familiarity with open-source technology and a desire to explore new solutions.
Experience building 0-1 products with a strong product sense.
Excellent communication skills, including articulating technical decisions, trade-offs, and best practices.
