About the Role

The Account Executive assists the Account Lead in managing clients, client work, and spearheading work with the internal team. This role combines account management and client services, requiring extensive interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. You will support campaign execution, contribute to strategic discussions, and manage smaller accounts or projects to achieve client goals.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proactivity on assigned tasks.
  • Perform day-to-day account management tasks, including contact and status reports, and production estimates.
  • Develop timelines and workbacks, ensuring all project components are up-to-date.
  • Lead weekly internal and client status meetings.
  • Demonstrate understanding of overall campaign goals and associated tasks.
  • Ensure all presentations are client and internal-facing ready.
  • Summarize client meetings and capture feedback for the agency team, distilling notes into action items.
  • Keep status meetings on track and maintain project management tools.
  • Manage assigned accounts, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities and projects.
  • Submit invoices/hours and ensure timely payment of vendors and freelancers.
  • Manage key financial accountabilities, including estimates, invoicing, and budget tracking.
  • Demonstrate a desire to understand the 'why' behind tasks, projects, and decisions.
  • Research and outreach to talent, vendors, and suppliers, assisting with contracts.
  • Establish trustful, professional relationships with team members.
  • Respond to client and internal requests in a service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through frequent communication.
  • Act as the primary liaison between account services and internal departments.
  • Commit to continuous learning and growth in client industries, competition, and marketing trends.
  • Be open and responsive to feedback.
  • Ask questions when expectations are unclear.

  • Represent Academy professionally to clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Proactively manage manager's expectations on assignments and timelines.
  • Regularly check for and respond promptly to all client communications.
  • Contribute to strong, trustful client relationships.
  • Build strong internal relationships across Strategy, Creative, Production & Operations.
  • Set an example for the Account team and interns.
  • Contribute to competitive intelligence gathering.
  • Proactively think and complete work on time and on budget.
  • Contribute thoughtfully to reporting, admin, and status documents/meetings.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years in account management, client service, or project management roles in an agency setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of content creation, digital marketing, and social media management.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management software, analytics tools, and social platforms.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing within a fast-paced agency environment.
  • High EQ.
