About the Role

This role provides high visibility at the street level, carrying out a wide variety of tasks to improve the overall appearance of the assigned service district.

Responsibilities

• Circulate through assigned work zone with a rolling can containing supplies and tools to collect litter, remove graffiti and posters, and pull isolated weeds.
• Damp wipe and straighten horizontal surfaces such as trash can lids and news boxes.
• Observe and report unwanted behaviors or criminal activity via two-way radios, articulating accurate descriptions of persons and vehicles.
• Acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting, provide directions, information, or recommendations.
• Provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and a basic daily report of accomplishments.
• Maintain a positive, professional environment in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and Block by Block standards.
• Walk or traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift with breaks.
• Work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
• Speak, read, and write the English language to create basic reports.

Requirements

• Must have the physical capacity to walk or traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift, with normal breaks.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
• CA Driver's License with a Clean Driving Record is a plus.
• Experienced in Pressure Washing with Commercial Vehicles.
• Hospitality skills are required.
