About the Role

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric services for Early Intervention or school-age students across home, school, and community settings on Long Island. The role focuses on evaluating and treating children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, and motor deficits through individualized interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services in home-based, school-based, or community settings
  • Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, play, and functional participation
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and service providers to support skill carryover
  • Complete required documentation including evaluations, session notes, and progress reports
  • Provide consultation and strategies to caregivers and school staff
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards per New York State and AOTA guidelines

Requirements

  • Current New York State Occupational Therapist license
  • Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances
  • Strong communication, organization, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple settings
  • Professional, reliable, flexible, and child-focused approach
