About the Role
AIT Home Delivery seeks contractors to provide final delivery and assembly services for home furnishings. Contractors will pick up orders from retail locations and deliver them to customer homes, requiring attention to detail and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Pick up orders at local home improvement or home goods retail locations.
- Deliver orders to job sites or customer homes.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Must have a 26' box truck with a lift gate.
- Must have a reliable helper; two-man teams are required.
- Vehicle must be adequately insured and capable of transporting large items.
- Must have an EIN (federal tax ID).
- Comply with insurance and vehicle registration requirements.
- DOT/MC numbers may be required for GVWR over 10,000 lbs.
- Must comply with state laws for the vehicle being used.
- Must pass background and drug screens (contractor and helper).
- Must pass MVR checks (driving contractors).
- Must be tech-savvy with a mobile phone.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
