About the Role
Dragonfly Cares is seeking a BCBA to provide culturally responsive support to children with autism and developmental disabilities in our Melville center. This role focuses on addressing various behaviors and ensuring meaningful progress for each child and family.
Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based teaching strategies including modeling, role-play, prompting, reinforcement, and natural environment teaching.
- Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or BTs assisting with social groups.
- Provide ongoing feedback and performance monitoring to ensure high-quality implementation of interventions.
- Communicate regularly with caregivers regarding participant progress.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned for each case.
Requirements
- Master's degree in ABA or a related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or LBA credential required or in process.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities in a center setting.
- Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Available to work Monday through Friday 8 AM - 3:30 PM.
