About the Role
Responsible for the preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of laundry and valet laundry equipment, as well as associated mechanical and electrical support infrastructure. This role ensures the good upkeep and maintenance of all laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, feeders, and ironers.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of laundry and valet laundry equipment.
- Ensure good upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, feeders, ironers, and any other machinery in the laundry areas.
- Utilize basic pneumatic, plumbing, electrical, and steam system knowledge for equipment maintenance.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and support the ordering process to ensure sufficient on-site stock for normal operations.
- Ensure health and safety in the work area.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, including cleaning inside machinery.
- Assist the Engineering Department in other trade areas as required.
- Work public holidays, weekends, or evenings as required.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- WHMIS & OHSA knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Fluent communication in the English language.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
