About the Role

Akerman is seeking a Client Development Specialist to assist in implementing programs that support practice group business plans and enhance the business and reputation of the firm. The role requires managing competing priorities and building relationships across multiple offices in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing business development plans under the direction of the Senior Client Development Manager and practice leadership.
  • Develop client-specific presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and other client-facing materials.
  • Track completed matter details and manage practice submissions for directories, databases, and publications.
  • Assist in planning and executing sponsorships and client events.
  • Manage various Marketing and Client Development (MCD) initiatives for the litigation practice group.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a business development or marketing role, preferably with an AmLaw 100, financial services, or professional services firm.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels across the firm.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
