About the Role
Quality Inspector ensures all assigned inspections are properly completed and documented in compliance with established policies and procedures and corresponding inspection forms and reports are properly executed prior to releasing products for use.
Responsibilities
- Use and interpret work instructions and associated documents to ensure conformity of product.
- Perform final inspection of the product.
- Ensure all assigned inspections are properly completed in compliance with established policies and procedures and corresponding inspection records, reports, and forms are properly executed prior to releasing products.
- Create nonconforming material reports when necessary.
- Perform analysis, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of products or components identified as non-conforming during an in-process and final inspection.
- Maintain inspection equipment, ensuring it is used within the calibration cycle and is in good working condition.
- Identify areas for improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Prepare accepted product for use by appropriately labeling product to indicate status and printing unique device identification labels as necessary.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in Quality Inspection role
- Proficient in all aspects of inspection including using and maintaining all inspection equipment
- Experience with reading inspection processes and interpreting engineering drawings required
- Expertise in the application and use of gauges and inspection equipment
- Strong communication, organizational, documentation and time management skills
- Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the Quality team and other cross-functional teams as required
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn various manufacturing software systems
- Experience with ISO9000 or AS9100 Quality Systems a plus
