About the Role

Recurrent Energy is seeking an O&M Field Technician responsible for maintenance checks, troubleshooting, and repair of operational solar farm equipment. The role requires strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and organizational abilities to ensure project uptime and production targets. The technician must be capable of working independently or within a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily project system issues to meet uptime goals.
• Understand hourly production output targets and execute correction plans.
• Follow maintenance schedules and perform routine maintenance.
• Identify potential problems and suggest corrective actions.
• Collaborate with team members, sub-contractors, and other groups to improve system performance, product quality, and maintenance costs.
• Communicate cross-functionally to resolve plant issues.
• Ensure CMMS work orders are complete and audit events/warranty claims.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot project systems including inverters, switchgear, transformers, breakers, communications equipment, and trackers.
• Provide training on machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Develop standard operating documents for maintenance and operations.
• Assist with project commissioning and testing.
• Coordinate on-site project planning, installations, commissioning, quality inspections, and performance testing.
• Attend and participate in all assigned trainings.
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies.
• Conduct other duties as required.

Requirements

• 2 years minimum of hands-on experience in the renewable energy (solar, wind or similar).
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing various types of electrical machinery and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Strong safety background with experience in Lockout Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Willingness to work outside normal daytime hours, including nights and weekends, for emergency service.
• Willingness to travel within Sicily (Italy).
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Deep knowledge on local regulations applicable to the PV Sites under operation.
• Valid driver’s license.
