About the Role

The Technology Finance team is seeking a Manager to serve as the primary finance business partner to Engineering Excellence, IT Security, Data & Analytics and Data Science. This role is pivotal in providing financial insight, modeling, and governance that enables engineering and technology leaders to make faster, better-informed decisions across a combined opex and capital portfolio. The Manager will lead monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, quarterly guidance, strategic long-range financial planning, KPI management, business case development, project financial reporting, and executive presentations. This role is a seat at the table with technology leadership, requiring someone who can translate complex financial dynamics into clear recommendations that drive real decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the trusted finance business partner to Engineering Excellence, IT Security, Data & Analytics and Data Science — building strong relationships with functional leaders and becoming an indispensable part of how those teams make decisions
  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting across full opex and capitalizable costs, including headcount (S&B) and non-people costs (Non-S&B)
  • Perform actuals vs. forecast, actuals vs. budget, and year-over-year comparisons — identifying key trends, drivers, and risks with clear, actionable narratives for leadership
  • Build and maintain business cases for tech investments, covering NPV, IRR, ROI, and payback analysis, using a consistent methodology aligned to Finance governance standards
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure correct capitalization treatment of engineering labor and project costs, including monthly allocation submissions, Oracle project code management, and go-live date tracking
  • Partner with HR to maintain accurate headcount forecasts and support headcount reconciliation across FTE and contingent worker populations
  • Complete purchase order approvals and partner with Accounting to ensure financial reports accurately reflect monthly expenses
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation including AI-enabled workflows to increase efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality
  • Deliver high-quality financial packages and presentations for senior executives and business partners, including the CDIO and DIO functional leaders
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis as needed across the DIO portfolio

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or finance business partnering with demonstrated experience in forecasting, budgeting, and executive-level financial presentations
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and financial systems including Hyperion Essbase, Anaplan, and Oracle PPM (or equivalent ERP and planning tools)
  • Working knowledge of capitalization principles - understanding the distinction between Opex and Prepaid Opex for internally developed software is a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in or experience with AI-enabled financial analysis, automation of reporting workflows, or data-driven FP&A - experience with tools such as Power BI, Anaplan, or similar is a plus
  • Experience in a technology, digital, or SaaS business environment is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required; MBA preferred
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to priorities and deliver across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
