About the Role
Join our Spirits team as a New York-based Strategy Director! You will lead strategy for Bacardi Brands, build communications plans across markets, and collaborate with inter-agency teams to deliver award-winning campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Lead the spirits portfolio accounts through key 360 activation, campaign, and program planning.
- Collaborate with account and inter-agency teams on holistic strategies, including communications frameworks, insights, and narratives.
- Develop compelling presentation narratives and flows with a keen eye for detail.
- Lead and direct the internal team on briefing and planning processes for global brands.
- Serve as a first line of defense in receiving and digesting client briefs.
- Set up frameworks, identify cultural insights, and build cohesive strategic approaches.
- Define key messaging and storytelling tracks to ensure positioning comes to life effectively.
- Develop communications frameworks and strategies in partnership with creative and media agencies.
- Conduct competitive positioning research and leverage insights to develop business strategies.
- Lead the framework and deck setup for all planning to allow account teams to focus on creative ideation.
- Ensure plans meet deadlines and ideas remain fresh.
- Drive the creative brainstorm process with internal account teams.
- Internalize briefs and share key insights and consumer points with the account team.
- Adjust ways of working based on client contacts and account team members.
Requirements
- At least six years of full-time experience in PR, advertising, or creative services.
- At least two years of experience in a leadership role in creative brief response.
- Genuine enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of Luxury, Lifestyle, and/or Entertainment industries.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful large-scale public relations campaigns.
- Priority verticals include Fashion, Music, Sports, Arts, and Culture.
- At least two years of experience collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams across multiple accounts and inter-agency teams.
- Experience leading projects internally and serving as a lead communicator with clients.
- Strong organizational skills in multitasking various workstreams.
- Proficiency in team management and developing strategies for activations/programs exceeding a budget of $1M+.
- Adept organizational skills and strategic resource allocation.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfort in communicating with global brand executives.
- Ability to ask clients and IAT the right questions or challenge a brand on deliverables if expectations are unclear or unreasonable.
