About the Role

Pinterest is seeking engineers to join the IT Enterprise Systems team to advance sales and marketing systems. This role involves building impactful products for sales and finance teams, with a focus on leveraging AI to augment creativity and amplify impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate full-stack applications and services on Pinterest’s enterprise infrastructure to support Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of GenAI/ML-powered services and pipelines that automate and augment enterprise workflows.
• Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle for these systems, including requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with product managers, business systems analysts, and other engineers to translate business needs into technical plans.
• Use AI coding tools and agents to accelerate development responsibly, applying rigorous testing, code review, and observability.
• Mentor and coach other engineers on system design, GenAI/ML patterns, and AI-augmented workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience building systems or analytics used by Sales and/or Marketing teams.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems, including full-stack applications and/or backend services on a modern cloud platform.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with at least one of: Java, Node.js, and/or Javascript.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating distributed systems and robust, fault-tolerant integrations.
• Practical experience building or integrating GenAI/ML-powered features or services in production.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools and agents to write, review, and validate detailed technical design documents, specifications, and test plans.
• Experience using GenAI coding tools and/or agents in your development workflow.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Outcome-oriented mindset focused on delivering business outcomes.
• Salesforce engineering experience is a plus.
